چکیده
Abstract The original configuration of 3D layer-to-layer angle-interlock (LLA) woven fibers cannot be maintained during matrix impregnation and is unstable when the composite subjected to loading. in yarn are susceptible lateral sliding, resulting deformation textile geometry. initial modulus warp direction smaller can inconsistent owing geometry fabric. A stable (SLLA) fabric was devised by constructing a denser arrangement, properties this new structure were investigated study. geometric parameters novel reinforcing mathematically modeled, results validated experimentally. showed that SLLA more than LLA experimentally determined structural good agreement with theoretically calculated values.

Tension–tension fatigue behavior of layer-to-layer 3-D angle- interlock woven composites
The tension–tension fatigue behavior of (the layer-to-layer) three-dimensional angle-interlock woven composite (3DAWC) was investigated using the acoustic emission (AE) technique, examination of damaged regions via light microscopy and micro-CT, and finite element analysis (FEA). AE events occurred during the entire fatigue process, and damage modes were determined based on cumulative fatigue d...
متن کاملRapid Assembly of Fiber Preforms Using 3d Woven Components
3D weaving is a manufacturing technique for producing near net shape fiber preforms. These preforms can be processed into composite components using liquid molding techniques such as resin transfer molding (RTM) or the vacuum assisted process (VAP). One of the main advantages of 3D woven preforms is that the touch labor required to assemble them is minimal, leading to rapid and highly automated...
متن کاملEffect of layer angle on tensile behavior of oblique layer functionally graded steels
In this work, tensile and yield stress and tensile and yield strain of oblique layer functionally graded steels produced by electroslag remelting were investigated. Functionally graded steels containing ferrite, austenite, bainite, and/or martensite layers may be fabricated via diffusion of alloying elements during the remelting stage. Tensile and yield stress and tensile and yield strain of fu...

This article presents an experimental investigation carried out to understand the mechanical behavior of composite materials made of 3D stitched woven-knitted basalt fabrics. The innovative preforms used consist of two outer layers of a plain woven fabric combined with two inner layers of weft-knitted fabrics. The weft-knitted fabrics selected for the study were varied plain knit, 1 × 1 rib, Mi...
متن کاملGeometrical Modelling of 3d Textile Composite Application to Warp Interlock Carbon Fabrics
In order to better predict the composite material behaviour, mechanical engineers need safe software tools to model the textile structure and to integrate into simulating software by the use of finite element approach. Then, it’s necessary to have a clear description of the textile structure at each scale. The microscopic scale involves the filaments position and distribution to define the exte...
